How long have you been part of the BRAVEday team, and what did you do before?
I have been part of the BRAVEday team since the end of January 2020. I have worked in the insurance industry for 11 years, from being in a broker support role, to a Financial Adviser in South Africa.
What do you do to fill in your work day?
I work together with Dean, managing his diary. I do pre and post planning and make sure Dean is equipped with all he needs for his appointments. I also work closely with the team ensuring our clients are well taken care of.
What about family?
I got married in 2008 to a pretty neat guy, and we've been cruising ever since. No kids on the radar, however, I prefer the ones that I can "return to sender" at the end of the day.
What is the most challenging thing you have ever done?
Immigrating - each step from saying goodbye to family in South Africa, right down to starting fresh in a country where nobody knows you. It was definitely a challenge as well as an accomplishment.
Any special achievements/awards you want to brag about?
Not much to brag about, I just take on whatever task I'm given or faced with and do it the best that I can. I do however feel very proud of myself to have completed the Level 5 v2 NZ Financial Services Certificate in November 2022.
What do you do for fun?
I find a lot of satisfaction in cake decorating, I meet a lot of people, and it's always light and happy conversations... after all, we are talking about CAKE!!!
If you could have a super power what would it be?
I wish I had the healing touch!... Cancer, see ya!
