We relate to daffodils as one of the first signs of spring. The vibrant yellow is a promise of the sunshine to come. The daffodil is also representative of hope for the large number of Kiwi's that are affected by cancer every day.
Daffodil Day this year is on Friday 31st August. Donations received go toward vital scientific research into both the causes and treatment of all types of cancer. They also contribute to education programs to aid in the prevention of cancers, along with support services.
1 in 3 New Zealander's are diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives, and most of us are affected through family or friends.
