Every single day we are given the opportunity to make decisions that shape our destiny.
One of the most exciting things about being a human is having the ability to choose. To choose how we live. To choose how we feel. To choose what we will do. To choose how we will view and consider an event or situation in our life.
In March we travelled to England for a wedding. When we booked our tickets in December, it felt like the whole population of the world was telling us it was going to be extremely hot and beautiful in England at that time as the previous year they had record highs. We arrived to snow. It was beyond cold and more often than not I was shivering to the bone. We had a choice in that moment, to let this horrible, wet, cold weather destroy our holiday, or stop and marvel in the magnificence of being surrounded by the snow and the beauty in which it decorates the landscape.
To this day, that holiday was the most special. We had so much driving to do from England up to Edinburgh and back to Wales. The snow made the drive such a beautiful and memorable experience we wouldn't change it for anything.
Each day we have the opportunity to make choices. And the way we choose shapes our destiny. So don't get upset. Get excited.
