Success - it's all in the execution

Our morning routine at BRAVEday changes dramatically if it's an America's Cup race day. We usually have a firm 'no interruptions' policy between 8am and 10.30am so that we can all get a good solid couple of hours work underway each day.

The America's Cup yachting has quite simply blown this routine.  Now on a race day the TV goes on first thing and one of the team is tasked with keeping an eye on the start time for the race.  Two minutes before the race officially starts the call goes out and we all hustle down to grab a seat for 20-25 minutes of nail biting drama - it's addictive, stressful and super exciting.

I was thinking this morning how amazing it is that little old New Zealand has a team that is in the hunt for the prize in such a prestigious and historic race, which traditionally is dominated by teams backed by rich and powerful billionaires.  It made me think about the equation below which we believe makes a huge difference to our business.

(Talent + culture + extreme customer focus) x disciplined execution = Success

I suspect that the formula Team New Zealand has is very similar….  Let's hope that it gets them through to the end of series and that they are victorious.

(Talent + culture + extreme focus) x disciplined execution = Success
