It's about choice

According to the Heart Foundation, cardiovascular disease (heart, stroke and blood vessel disease) will affect one in twenty adults. Medicine has advanced considerably in the last 50 years, and while the incidence of heart attacks is on the rise (due to the increase in population and the "obesity epidemic") the mortality rate has nearly halved.

While increased awareness of the work/life balance mentality has meant a shift in attitude, it would be fair to say than when you go through a life-changing illness like a heart attack, your focus changes.  Working 60-80 hours a week becomes less important, and spending time with loved ones is more of a priority.  So, it makes sense to ensure that financially, you are able to make this choice.

Trauma insurance gives you a lump sum payment that means the choice in your hands - you may want to pay off the mortgage, fly to Disneyland or just spend time with your family without having to worry about where the money will come from.

It is never too early to make smart choices.  Insuring your family's future is a great way to start.
