Helping Kids to Live Boldly

BRAVEday is proud to be a regular contributor to the KidsCan Charitable Trust - we consider this a great way to help kids to live up to their potential, and ultimately, to Live Boldly.

KidsCan is a support organisation trying to make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged kiwi kids.  For just $15 a month, you can provide a child with food at school, a water proof raincoat, shoes and socks and basic hygiene items - the essentials that every child needs to learn.

The KidsCan fundraising drive centres around the festive season - the annual "Christmas Cracker" appeal started on 1 November.  You can order your crackers online, or buy them at participating retailers nation-wide.  Alternatively, if you are feeling extra bold, you can start training now, and have a go at the Great KidsCan Santa Run.  This is a 2-3km run in the main centres … the twist? Everyone taking part is encouraged to dress up as Santa.

With only 52 sleeps till Christmas now might be a good time to think about some of young lives in our communities who don't have a lot of the advantages that we had growing up.  It only takes a small donation to make a difference in the life of a child.
