What better way to celebrate summer than hitting one of the gorgeous beaches! Why not try Paddleboarding at Takapuna Beach? Or take a refreshing dip at the stunning Browns Bay beach then just pop across the road for a cleansing Ale when you're done! Just 40 minutes to the West and you can find yourself arriving at Piha…what an amazing view driving into the little seaside town, it is definitely a must see destination.
Have you ever been to Hobbiton? It seems that many locals haven't made the trip down to the country town of Matamata two hours South East to visit the area where Lord Of the Rings and The Hobbit were filmed, but tourists are all over it! If you're a fan of the movies or even just appreciate amazing countryside then I would suggest this as a "must do" activity, especially while the weather is warm.
What about heading a little bit North? Matakana Village is just the cutest! If you pull into town on a Saturday you will be lucky enough to catch the Village Farmers Market, where you can grab a freshly brewed coffee and wander around the stalls taking in the freshness and some of the most amazing produce you will ever find.
